33). Help bring Joshua home to his mommy if possible!

33.  Help bring Joshua home to his mommy if possible!

It has been a challenge with many ups and downs!

We tried so hard!  Meetings, talking with the professionals and the experts, and working with his dad. As it turns out, it is not the right time for Josh.

A very emotional time for the whole family but hardest for his mom, my sister-in-law Mary, and for my Father-in-law who has been Mary and Joshua’s biggest advocate.

We will never stop praying and we will never stop trying.  But for now, we realize that what is best for Joshua is to be where he is, For Now. And Mary must focus on several HUGE projects she is working on.

Mary, is a mother of four grown children, an artist , mental health advocate, speaker, writer and she works in the mental health field. Mary believes that there can be ‘storms’ in life that sometimes don’t go away. However, you can still learn to ‘dance in the rain’.

Mary has developed a mental health recovery program and she wrote a beautiful children’s book inspired by her son Joshua who was  hit by a car when he was 8 years old.  He received massive traumatic brain injury and has so many physical and cognitive challenges you would think he has lost everything but if you ask Josh he will say “I’m a lucky boy and I have a great life”.

Joshua now 18 with his big brother Sam.
